Why can't I select my tabs in Firefox?

Asked by bhec10 (6458points) August 30th, 2009

I run Windows XP on a Mac and everything works fine except for this little thing on Firefox 3.5.2:

I can open multiple tabs but then I can’t select them by clicking with my mouse. The only way I can go through them is by using ctrl + Tab and ctrl + shift +Tab.

Why is this happening and how can I fix this?

I think if this was MY problem I’d Google ‘can’t select tabs on Firefox’. There should be numerous links you can go to. Google has never failed to help me with computer problems.

I did that, but the results don’t have anything to do with my question and yes, I reformatted the search several times… :/

There is a forum area on the Mozilla site where questions can be asked about FF.

Not sure what’s happening, you might indeed want to try the aforementioned forum. What could help is to move your profile folder (Google that) so that Firefox will create a new profile for you, as the problem may be somewhere in your settings or add-ons. Also, a shortcut you may find useful is Alt+<tabnumber> to switch tabs faster :)
