Write clearly, use good semantic markup, and don’t try to game Google because Google always wins.

When writing for a site, don’t use terms that are too “clever.” Use words your users will use when they search for the topic(s) your site purports to help them with. It may not build the brand, but it will bring the eyeballs.

Um, would it be rude to ask why—if you’re “in web-marketing”—you want random strangers to give you advice on SEO? I mean, shouldn’t you be giving advice to us?

perhaps it would be better to replace ‘in’ with “just beginning a job in”. thanks for your tips, much appreciated
