Does anyone have building plans for making your own power source?

Anything like making your own solar panels to assembling your own hydrogen fuel cell. To make your own fuel from any number of plants through distillation. Perhaps plans for a waterwheel or a windmill. If anyone has access to or a link to information regarding the building of such self sufficient machinery please share it with me.
