Why is the audio on these new compressed blueray releases so messed up?

Asked by markyy (6257points) September 6th, 2009

Ok, somehow miracoulusly this bad movie appeared on my hard disk. I know, weird right? So I opened it and the audio is really messed up. You can’t really hear the actors speak but the background noise and music is uncomfartably loud. So far I had this with all movies that say 720p in the filename and are about 4.9 gygabite big. My laptop only has a stereospeaker, so I’m guessing the audio is recorded for 7 channels and I only have 2. Any tips on how to fix this?

Delete the 7 channel audio track

Thanks, but I can only see 1 audiotrack so deleting that will just make it mute. Maybe it was just a faulty release.
