In the midst of international tensions, Canada manages never to infuriate anyone.

Because they’re smart.

Because they dont usually stick their collective noses where they dont belong. Afganistan is an exception. Also they’re also a pretty young country. Not only that but they’re part of the commonwealth with all of Britain’s other colony’s and are very friendly with the US. They’re Kinda like America’s and Britian’s little brother. Nobody would mess with them.

They are a nicer country than most.

There aren’t enough of them to make anyone feel as though they’re a threat. Plus, everyone loves their bacon. Well, I do. I know I won’t invade if leaving them be keeps that bacon coming.

While the rest of the world focuses on how nice they are, Canada secretly assassinates all of their enemies. Don’t let the plaid fool ya, they’re crafty.

Plaid?

Huh, Canada is Scotland 2.0 a bit, aren’t they? Though I rather like Scotland 1.0

Most countries in the world have no international enemies. Canada just fit the norm.

Granted we should have gone World War III on their asses for Celine Dion, but who could hate a country that supports and brought forward some of the best bands alive?

Plus if they ever do get mad that adorable accent will make everyone laugh and say let’s be friends.

Canada seems a bit like Switzerland to me, neutral and keeping to themselves. They must have a good sense of self esteem over there. Small countries like Holland tend to want to make bigger countries proud and fight of the image of being the smallest kid in the class.

Because some terrorists think Canada is a US state.

I think the main reason you never hear about Canada infuriating anyone is that the US media just doesn’t cover Canada, at all, ever. Which is odd, because Canada exports more oil to the United States than Saudi Arabia (or any other country, for that matter) and is by far America’s largest trading partner. In fact, in terms of how any country impacts the day to day life of the average American, I’d say there’s no country more important than Canada.

I grew up in Canada but went to school in the states. While I was in school a Member of Parliament, during the first year of the Iraq war, stomped on a Bush effigy at a political rally. The Canadian media was going nuts, asking “What will the Americans think of us now?” Not once did I see anything in the American news about it.

For some reason Canada’s just not covered by the American media, the occasional joke by Jon Stewart excluded.

They made the world’s bully their friend, but they are real quiet about it, and hold out a helping hand to countries the bully doesn’t like sometimes. Maybe they get between the bully and the bullied.

I used this tactic as a middle schooler, so as not to get beaten up.

Because at the time Canada’s millitary was used for peace keeping…but we have international enemies now…Iran calls us the little satan and there is the occasional terriost attempt er… attempt to attempt…our biggest threat is Greenpeace trying to shut down the tar sands in Alberta.
