What's the tethering app for the iphone?

my boss was telling me that he was at the apple store earlier today and one of the genius bar people downloaded a tethering app for him. the app is apparently legit and they didn’t need to hack his iphone for it to work. anybody know what app this is?

NetShare is no longer available.

As of version 3.0, the iPhone can tether out of the box, but the ability is controlled by the carrier settings file. It’s likely that the genius downloaded a new carrier settings file that turned tethering on.

Why are you asking us and not your boss, anyway? He should know what apps are on his phone, while the rest of us can only guess and speculate.

tethering typically means using your Iphones data plan to connect to the internet via your pc or laptop. if you have a tethering app or capability you can search for wifi connections and find your iphone in the list and connect that way.
