What exactly causes the white streams behind jets? And do all jets leave them?

Why does it seem that some jets have the white streams behind them and others do not?

Short version…

Those “streams” are clouds. Planes make clouds.

Contrails—unless you are at an air show, and the jets are releasing pressurized water from tanks on their wings to create artificial trails.

(I’m gullible, I believe most of them and try to balance them with non conspiracies)
