Any hotel recommendations in NYC near Greenwich Village?

I’m looking for a cool hotel in walking distance of Greenwich village in NYC this weekend. Anyone have suggestions? Emphasis on safe, clean, nice! Thank you!

love the Greenwich Hotel. Not in Greenwich Village..but Tribeca, but great rates.

I would recommend the Larchmont Hotel. It is in GV close to Washington Square. Great people watching area, fabulous food etc.
