How do I get the stains out of my kitchen counters?

We live in a 1960’s apartment and the counters may be that old. I make coffee most mornings and there are coffee stains that I can not get out of the counter, I have tried a bleach solution and many other cleaners and am wondering how else to get the stain out. It would be a plus if there were any natural cleaners anyone knows about.
