Get the mildew (and smell) out of my shoes!

So, my bike shoes got wet. And I forgot about them and left them in a backpack for almost a week. Now they reek.

I tried dousing ‘em in Lysol and leaving ‘em outside in the sun for a couple of days. Little improvement.

Your suggestions for permanently eradicating the mildew?
