Have you ever gone through & cleaned out your fluther list?

Asked by jbfletcherfan (13212points) October 20th, 2009

I just did. Some hadn’t been on here in forever. Some has had no interaction with me in months. I just thought it was time to clean house. Has any one ever done this?

Never thought about it. Does it make a difference in any way?

Nope. Honestly the whole “adding people to your fluther” thing never really worked for me anyway. I tend to just pick through the 100 questions a day or so that I get and pick out the interesting ones.

I think they need to do something so it’s actually worthwhile to add people to our Fluther, right now it’s just one measly tab on the front page.

I agree with AstroChuck

I have, as a matter of fact. I’ve only done it a couple of times but I’ll go through my fluther and see who hasn’t been on in, say, 6 months and delete them. The only reason I do it is because I’ve heard people say that there’s a limit and you can’t add anyone more after that. I wish the founders would eliminate that or at least allow us to remove those jellies in our fluthers that have had their accounts terminated.

I had to clear out users in my Fluther that had gone longer than 4 months since signing in because my Fluther reached its limit.

No, I’ve never done that. In fact, I just discovered that you could have a limit today!

I haven’t reached it, I just heard it mentioned for the first time today.

What IS the limit? I didn’t know that either.

After I posted this, I wondered how many went to my profile to see if they were still there. LOL

how do you know if you’ve reached your fluther limit, does it just not add them to your fluther??

The_Compassionate_Heretic's avatar

Fluther tells you when you’ve reached it.

I never have, but I just hit my limit last night. Guess I need to do it now, huh? :)

I’ve hit my limit a couple of times. I then have to go and figure out who deserves to be deep-sixed. That’s another nice thing about starting a new account, not only does all that annoying lurve go away, but I also get to rebuild a brand new fluther.

I don’t have any of the founders in my new fluther, I wonder how that will look?

I have cleaned out my Fluther list on at least one occasion. It seemed like the right thing to do at the time.

I tried to clean out the questions I’m following. Not my Fluther list though. I have hundreds of questions I’m following. I wish there were checkboxes so I can stop following more than one at a time.
