What scary movie do you think of when you are home alone and you hear noises in the house?

I always think of “Friday the 13th” for some reason. Whats yours?

Disturbia… everyone within 1 mile of my house becomes a sadistic serial killer in my mind as soon as I’m home alone

Halloween! But when I’m running I always imagine myself running from a murderer or rapist. Keeps my mile time short haha

Pet Semetary. I always get the willies about the kid hiding under the bed who cut that guy’s Achilles tendon.

I don’t freak myself out thinking about scary movies when I’m alone anymore, that job is usually left up to my imagination, but when I was a kid I watched the movie Critters (my first rated R movie). After seeing that movie I would psych myself out anytime I was alone.

I distinctly remember thinking about how I could protect myself, but there was no way because the “Critters” could eat through walls. I eventually saw the movie again when I was a little older and realized how ridiculous it was, putting a stop to freak-outs.

Gremlins used to freak me out like crazy when I was little! I still think about it from time to time…........like now….............

I’m with @jmah. The night I saw Paranormal Activity, I started to panic a little bit going up my stairs to the third floor and it was pitch black and I heard what I knew was the cat playing on the other side of the door, but it SO didn’t matter :x

Definitely Paranormal Activity. I saw it 3 or 4 weeks ago and I still can’t be alone in the dark or I start to feel panicky. We saw a 12:15 showing (big mistake, considering we had to go to bed right when we got home…needless to say I only slept about 3 hours that night), and when we got home and got ready for bed I had to have my boyfriend check behind the shower curtain before I could brush my teeth. Now, not only can I not be alone in a dark room, but I also always get a “creepy” feeling whenever I go into the bathroom and the shower curtain is drawn around the tub… Stupid movie!!

I once had a white vinyl (Andy Warhol) shower curtain. Try hoping into the shower after watching Psycho (while you’re by your lonesome), and then hearing a THUMP—which turns out to be your cat jumping on the toilet seat lid. Yeah, scared the bejesus out of me.
