Where do you find outfits you see on TV shows?

Asked by beachwriter (361points) October 28th, 2009

Say you’re watching “Gossip Girl” or “The Good Wife” and you’re dying to know where she got that fab sweater. How do you find out where to buy one?

For the two shows you mentioned: H&M (they do knock offs of many hot items)

You can always do a yahoo/google search. Other TV shows may even put the clothing companies they use/are affiliated with in the credits.

I know that the CW has a link where you can get clothes from Gossip Girl and a basic Google search will bring up a list of sites where you can ‘get the look for less.’

Always check the link to the network hosting the show. Many of these shows are part entertainment, part product placement and they want you to buy what the stars are wearing. There are tons of sites out there to find what you’re looking for.
