My blackberry curve ALWAYS freezes and its fairly new, any experience?

Asked by krystab5 (1points) November 8th, 2009

I just got a Blackberry Curve in august. Its a great phone and does a lot of different tasks but everytime i go to add/edit a contact it freezes and I have to take the battery out and reboot it. Also, theres a button on the side thats a navigation button. I never use it but everytime I press it by accident it won’t let me put it on stand by anymore then I have to take the battery out again and reboot it. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong or what I could do?

My daughter’s did some strange things, too, and we ended up having to return it to the company for a replacement, three times now. Apparently they are fragile phones and have connections that go bad. She found with hers that if you shake it sometimes it will work for a while, but that is not the best way to deal with it.

Since you got yours in August it should still be under warranty so call the company and work your way through their help menu until you get a real person. You may have to repeat yourself several times to several different people, but eventually they should offer to replace the phone, as long as it has not ever gotten wet, nor shows signs of having been dropped.
