How do I add a Facebook page to a Tweetdeck Column?

Asked by RedMosquitoMM (539points) November 9th, 2009

I would like to see my business’ Facebook page updates in their own Tweetdeck column so I can stay on top of them. Anybody know how to do that?

The newest version of tweetdeck has several buttons at the top left including the“compose”, “twitter search”, “Tweetdeck directory”, “new twitter column”, “new Facebook column” and “new Myspace column”... Just click on the facebook icon and set up the account you want shown in it’s own column.

Pretty simple.

@Dr C I believe those buttons don’t give you the option, at least not on my inspection, to add a specific page’s updates as a column. Any info on that?

It allows for specific groups unless you have multiple accounts activated (which you can do in the preferences pane) in which case you can add one per account.

If you become a fan of the group then you can make a column and just receive updates from them once you’ve added your FB account to TweetDeck.
For example, I just tried this and can receive updates inthe column from only the local pub as long as I’m a fan of them and they show up as a friend.

Awesome, I’ll give that a try.
