What are your favorite SNL characters?

Chris Farley as Barney, the wannabe Chippendales dancer. Or as Matt Foley, motivational speaker.

Anything by Chris Farley. He makes me laugh every time.

Dan Aykroyd and Steve Martin as the Festrunk brothers. Classic.

Honourable mentions to Mike Meyers and Dana Carvey too.

They’re all so different… and I’m not sure I’d really say I have favorites, but those who come to mind include: Garrett Morris as an inmate applying for the prison musical. Emily Latela. Samurai Tailor. I liked the Chase/Curtain newsdesk interplay, and Chase as Gerald Ford. And I AM a fan of the early SLN years, just didn’t really occur to me as “favorite characters.”

Penelope (Kristen Wiig), the girl at parties who always claims to top other people’s achievements.

@sndfreQ, I had completely forgot about those skits – they’re hilarious. To this day I still say “cham-pah-gnyeuh” and I had even forgot why.

You can’t beat John Belushi’s “Samurai” characters from the first couple of seasons.
