Ideas for kid friendly restaurant in Monterey Bay?

Asked by Jill_E (885points) February 11th, 2008

Soon we will go to the Monterey Aquarium. Is there any other kid friendly place we can take our little 3 year old? We’ve been to Bubba Gump there. Any other ideas would be great. This can be in Carmel or nearby cities too.

i’ve only been there a few times, and i was going to say Bubba Gump, but i see you’ve already nailed that one. since you said surrounding areas as well, i do know a good place for Chinese food.

Tommy’s Wok is located in Carmel, it’s kid friendly, attentive service, great food, and the prices are reasonable for Carmel.

other than that, i’m not of much help, sorry!

however, www.yelp.com is a great place to read ratings and reviews of resturaunts. you can just put in the location and subject and it should do the rest!

actually, here

yelp

that link takes you directly to restaurants in Monterey and surrounding areas!

i hope you have a great time!

There’s a restaurant there, sort of tucked away behind the cafeteria, that looks out over the bay through these ceiling-high windows. My daughter had a lot of fun watching the otters play and catch crabs while she ate lunch. More expensive than the cafeteria, but not too much, and the food was excellent.

Thanks to all who responded. We had a great time. We tried the restaurant located at the Monterey Aquarium. It was kid friendly even had white clothed table. It was his first time at a white cloth table restaurant, each table have binoculars, and gave us crayons and paper. Was impressed. He did great. And yummy food too. Next time will try the other restaurants recommended. Thanks!
