Do the Removed by Fluther answers deserve a Hall of Shame that can be "visited"?

Asked by NewZen (3502points) November 10th, 2009

You see a great question with an interesting title or subject, and then…... the first comments are Removed by Fluther.

Now you’re really curious.

Couldn’t there be like a secret lair, like a vault with a plexiglass window, where we could see the removed answers?

That would be great. Maybe hidden by default and click to drop down the answer. I can definitely see why some are removed though.

If anything, I’d rather have Fluther allow us to ask more questions within a day =P The comments that are removed are probably removed for a very good reason..

@erichw1504 I’m not sure what you put there but that’s classic. PM me too. :)

No.
We mod questions specifically so they aren’t seen.

If they are modded for a reason… let sleeping dogs lie.

Yes, there should be such a hidden category. But all proper nouns and some additional nouns should be redacted in the messages there, both for safety, and also to discourage the deliberate placing of questions that would end up in such a place.

Why, you miss some of your answers, @NewZen ?

I bet there are some that would be great to see in a Hall of Shame, and others that should just be left alone. I feel that my answer to the green poop question deserved to see the light of day, but only because it made me laugh so much. I thought the question would get modded so didn’t hold back. Clearly I erred. :)

Answers that are part of a personal “insult-fest” shouldn’t be revisited, however. I think if you’re truly curious about what was said, you could just pm the person whose answer was removed. Even then, you might just be opening a can of worms.

No, I have no interest in sloshing through a cess-pool of insults, bad spelling and grammar, and other sorts of just plain nonsense.

Removed by Fluther moderators.

They should allow a prison of moderated comments. Or if one of your comments gets moderated they should show it to you and say why it got modded.

@The_Compassionate_Heretic whats the best method to contact the mods? How do we know who to contact? Thanks!
