What blogging application do you recommend ( for my itouch )?

Asked by troubleinharlem (7991points) November 11th, 2009 from iPhone

Preferably one that I don’t have to pay much for, and that doesn’t have to have Internet access. But I can live with prices.

What do you intend to do with the blog? Please clarify “doesn’t have to have Internet access.”

yes, clarification is needed on “does not have to have internet access” do you mean a personal diary or journal?

blogs by definition have to have internet access because they are supposed to be online. however you could run one by using databases and php after setting up your pc as a testing server.

let me know more, me and my business partner are but a couple of days away from finishing a blog and CMS system that we plan on selling. i could hook you up with a free copy if you would agree to give us some feedback and criticism on it before we launch it for sale officially.

all you would need to do is buy a domain name from some domain company for like $15 and you could store it on there.

@phoenyx – just write when I’m on the road or without Internet access.

@poisonedantidote – I see, well, where I could write a selection and post it later when I have access. Is that better?

@troubleinharlem well, with out blog system and most others, what you would need to do is write it down in a normal word processor (open office is free and great for that) and when you have internet access you would copy and paste the text in to the CMS system and publish it as an article.

Write it in the notes app and email it to yourself when you have access to a computer.

there are also quite a few blog systems out there that are totally free too, like blogger.

and some companies will provide free site making tools if you buy a domain and host with them. such as godaddy.com

Going along @johnpowell‘s road, you could type it in the notes app and then email it to post on Blogger. They have that feature, there’s a specific email address you send the post to and it publishes it on the blog.
