My password keychain will no longer autofill passwords on safari, why did it stop all of the sudden?

Asked by Cooldil17 (485points) November 14th, 2009

Ok so I restarted my computer and now Safari will not fill in my passwords, I checked that autofill is enabled, all the usernames and passwords are still listed however it will only fill in the username of each site. Its not site specific it does this to every website that I need a login for. I also made sure I checked my password keychain and it still has all the same information, passwords and usernames stored. But still it refuses to fill in the passwords. Why did it stop all of the sudden and how can I make it re-enable itself to fill in my passwords again!

@Cooldil17, did you check the Apple site? I did find this.

Is it all your passwords? I know that there were some security changes because of the problems with Paypal. Apparently only Firefox was exempt from hacking. My first thought was that perhaps it had something to do with the security updates for that.

I think you might be right because I did just download the update, that’s why after all I restarted the computer! Ugh is there any way to remove a update, almost how windows has a restore option to previous time, is that available on a mac, and I’m not talking about Time Machine btw.

You need to look on apple.com. I’m not sure you would want to remove it.
