What BIG changes will the world see when the boomers hit 65?

Asked by artemisdivine (1097points) February 16th, 2008

So be it 2010 or 2012 or whatever. What do YOU think will be impacted the most (and note NO ONE seems to be discussing this in my mind in the world).
The first batch of baby boomers will hit 65 by 2012.

According to Dr. Jackie Vaughn-Williams, Ph.D. Austin, Texas, between 2010 – 2030, Baby Boomers will hit 65 years of age and quite literally, rock our society in ways we never imagined. They will substantially impact our society in four ways: 1) economically, 2) politically, 3) culturally and 4) socially.

More whining and self pitty than the world has ever seen, or was thought possible.

I think the biggest impact will be economically. Between medicare, medicaid, and Social Security, we will owe somewhere between $50–60 trillion.
