I had some opals to display so I bought an aquarium, lined it with paper bark and they put a pretty and gnarly tree branch in it and hung the opals from the branch. It works out well. I have a very realistic looking snake curled in the corner which attracts attention and deters pilfering.

Also you can’t beat just pinning things onto black velvet.

@rooeytoo beat me to it! Or even other colors of velvet.

Are we talking about selling at a local market or on the Internet?

If the Internet I would suggest Etsy.

I think white usually makes a good backdrop for displaying products. You could buy some cork board and cover it in a new white sheet or pillow case. You could use tiny pins to hang the stuff from.

In my last apartment I had a wall with nails with my jewlery hanging from them. I was lazy but I could have wrapped the nails so the looked prettier. It was so beautiful to see all the colors and textures of my stuff and I wore it more because it was already out.
