Do you have any romantic ideas for me?

Asked by juwhite1 (2971points) November 27th, 2009

My husband has been out of town for a week, and is returning tomorrow night. The next day is our anniversary. I bought a beef tenderloin and am making a gourmet meal for our anniversary. I wrote him a love letter, am putting rose petals on the table cloth, have the candles ready to go, have romantic music set up on my iPod, and plan to write little love notes on our mirrors in lipstick. What other little romantic things can I do to surprise him?

I think sex will have to be some part of this . . .

Absolutely! I’m not in need of ideas for that portion of the evening, however.

I think you have it covered. It sounds perfect.

sounds pretty good to me, I am jealous.

That’s quite a welcome. First anniversary? (Just guessing.)

I can’t think of anything to add. I’d say that anyone who can think to put rose petals on the tablecloth is probably doing beautifully without any advice.

Yes – it is our first anniversary. We’ve lived together for three years. He always comes up with amazing ways to surprise me, so for once, I really want to “out do” him in the romance department! I forgot to mention that I also have massage oils ready to go! Our plan is to stay home all day on our anniversary (we live in the country) and just spend the day together, so I’m trying to come up with as many little romantic surprises / favors as I can think of to fill the whole day with ways to let him know how much I love him.

You’ve got it covered pretty well. Is there a place to drive to after dinner that’s nearby with something festive going on? Like, a recently lit holiday tree to walk to with some cocoa or stashed bottle of wine under your coat?

That stuff is always cozy and romantic.

The only thing you could add s brreakfast in bed the next day.

It is in the 20’s here, so the walk with cocoa / wine won’t work for this day, but that’s a great idea for another day! Thanks!
I’m going to use the breakfast in bed idea… thank you!

I always enjoy making chocolate covered strawberries for dessert on a romantic night.
