How do I dispose of a broken computer adapter correctly?

Asked by adrifoxx (69points) November 28th, 2009

Is there any right way? or can I just throw it out with all of the other trash?

Could you clarify what you mean by “adapter” here?

adapter as in the charger. the thing you plug into the wall so your battery doesnt die. Im SO technologically literate haha

Oh, OK. That’s a transformer, specifically a dry-type transformer. Those don’t pose any special disposal problems. Trash it in good conscience.
