Should I buy Rockband 2 or Rockband:the beatles for PS3?

Asked by joon1986 (185points) December 2nd, 2009

Hi everyone,
I am planning to buy a music playing game like Rockband
(I have never owned or played Rockband like games in any consoles and not a huge fan of either of Rock or Beatles )
but I LOVE Music playing games
I have been looking around to find more information about these two games but none of the information helped me decide which one is better suited for me
can anyone tell me good and bad about these games and your preferences and why?
Thanks

What @buckyboy28 said. I think the general consensus was that you’d get more bang for your buck with Rock Band 2. Buy me one too while you’re at it, will ya? :P

I want Rock Band so baaaaaaaad!!

I won The Beatles: Rock Band from a Pepsi Instant Win Game, but haven’t gotten around to opening it because I am away at college. I am a huge Beatles fan, so I am really looking forward to it.

PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think I will go with Rockband 2! looks like it’s cheaper and got more songs
plus I can just buy beatles game and play it on Rockband according to what people says!!

@joon1986 You probably made the right choice. I recently played Beatles Rock Band for the first time, and while it is a fantastic game, it’s probably only worth it if
A) If have rock band already and are looking to expand, or
B) are an INSANELY big Beatles fan, like myself.

Plus, the difficulty curve in the story mode looks something like the sine wave…

Buy a real instrument, really with all of the time some of my friends put in to rock band, they could be guitar gods by now.

I want Rock Band for the drums. I don’t think I could ever be good at guitar. Now, get me some drum action..
