What would be your definition of a meal that sticks to your ribs ?

Asked by Pretty_Lilly (4660points) December 14th, 2009

By this meaning a meal that is fulfilling and leaves you completely contented.
To me is a full slab of Baby-Back Ribs with tons of corn bread. A bib and plenty of hand-wipes

Steak and eggs with hash browns[real potatoes] lots of hot coffee!!! some garden tomatoes on the side!mI read up- maybe a biscuit or two instead of toast!

Mashed potatoes, meatloaf, biscuits and gravy, creamed spinach and a big glass of milk.

Or lasagna by itself, like, half a pan.

Boy, my days of being able to eat like that and still be 106 the next day are long gone…

Mashed potatoes, sausages, and gravy. Bangers and Mash! Toss some buttermilk biscuits which are soaked in real, melted butter on the side.

“Elizabeth, I’m coming to join you honey!!! ”

12 oz. aged prime rib cooked medium rare, sourdough biscuits drenched in butter, red kidney beans in homemade BBQ sauce, fried yellow squash and end it all with hot peach cobbler smothered in French vanilla ice cream. Chase it all down with 3 bottles of Shiner Bock beer.

I agree with you…Smoked pork ribs, corn bread, and corn on the cob.

@jmah Oh yea? Let me fix my hair ;)

I agree with @tinyfaery, mac and cheese! Heavy on the cheese. Some cake would top it off :)

Fried Chicken with biscuits and buffalo wings.
Or, if we want to get fancy, a Kobe beef steak with a pepper burgundy demi-glace combined with truffle butter fettuccine and a lemon ricotta risotto, finished with a vanilla bean and raspberry Creme Brulee for dessert with a caffe con panna made from beans originating in Sumatra.

Diggin’ the heart attack thread.
@VohuManah
Kobe anything. Oh my sweet Lord. And the creme de la creme is the Wagyu. 200 dollars a pound for ribeye and worth every penny.hey the burgers are 60 a pound..a bargain!
Followed by a Cuban Partagas Series D with a cup of Sumatran coffee, some kick ass Swiss chocolate and your aforementioned Creme Brulee and you can fit me for a coffin for all I care.
I’ll die with a smile on my face.

You know what they say about Chinese food, “an hour after you eat, you’re hungry again”?

Well, the opposite is said of Italian: “an hour after you eat, you’re still stuffed”!
