Financial aid question?

ok, im wanting to go to school for welding, the tution to get enrolled is 5000, i was wondering if i got a grant how much would i be payin out each semester, the school is 1–2 years. and if i would have any money left over for gas and things. i live with my grandmother who has no income and im getting food stamps and 156$ weekly unemployment.

Fill out a Fafsa here http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/
and it’ll get you an EFC (estimated family contribution). They do state grants, and loans.

Depends on how much the grant is.

My advice is to see if there is a program for welding at a local Community College. Tuition will be cheaper, financial aid will be easier to get, and you may get a better education, too, than you would at a commercial school.

Go speak with the Financial Aid office at the college. They can help you with all of your questions and point you toward solutions.
