I’ve just ditched Firefox. Every time I got an e-mail notification of a response to my questions it dumped my e-mail page to go to Fluther. So I had to recall my e-mail webpage up all over again. Imagine the irritation of this if you have five answers to respond to. I don’t get this with Internet Explorer. It just logs into Fluther leaving my e-mail page open.

@Gossamer FireFox has less bugs so I’m told but I’ve never had any probs with Explorer. I’m protected by Norton 360 Premier. I also find FireFox is slow to boot up if my computor has been turned off.

@Reacher Keep that security stuff up-to-date then ;) Firefox is slow to boot, but it also has a lot of add-ons that IE doesn’t. I guess it just proves the old adage, “Your mileage may vary”.

I don’t like it. Doesn’t help me much and on my netbook it’s totally unusable and makes Google impossible to use as well.

If you don’t like Firefox, why not try out Chrome?

@jerv Are you talking about FireFox?

jerv's avatar

@Reacher In the whisper, yes. Personally, I have used Firefox for years and have had no major issues whereas IE seemed to cause problems left, right, and center until I abandoned it entirely.
As for the main text, that was referring to the Fluther-search add-on.
