I'm 20 years old and I found older women (24 up to 45) attractive. Do you think there's something wrong with me dating someone that old?

There is nothing wrong with that, just you need to understand that the older you’ll get the more experience you’ll have and most occasion the want a serious relation rather than fooling around

I am a total sucker for an older woman. My gf is 15 years older, and it’s sweet. Best relationship I’ve had period.

Women at the higher end of the scale (late 30s to 40s) will likely regard a relationship with you as temporary but incredibly refreshing. They will/may love the attentiveness and performance. Just don’t let your video game habit make it a love triangle.

I find women in this age group much more straightforward about their needs, which of course makes things easier. Be prepared to deal with their insecurity about their age and the fact (in their mind) that they are competing against every young, beautiful girl that crosses your path.

Best outcome is that you have a rockin’ time with an older woman or women and (assuming it comes to an end) return to the “normal” dating scene feeling much more secure and confident in what you want in a relationship and how to get it.

I would guess that women in their late 20s would be more difficult as a group, since they are probably wanting other things (commitment, material comforts, etc.) that you are less likely to provide over a slightly older, more established guy. I would think that a girl that age going for a guy your age would have more to do with her lack of development, which means dealing with more baggage than usual.

Also, just be aware that some women in this demographic (I must be down on women today, geez) are looking for a surrogate dad for their kids, which can, speaking from experience, cause them to bend over backwards to keep you, which, in turn, can make you forget the fact that it’s time to move on.

There’s nothing wrong with that. Based on that very little I have from you, my guess would tend to be that you’re picking up on something you could learn from more experienced / mature women. (Unless you’re having feelings for older women who are immature cradle robbers – ;-) – age is just often coincidental to maturity.)

@kevbo, i agree with most of what you said. however “Best outcome is that you have a rockin’ time with an older woman or women and (assuming it comes to an end) return to the “normal” dating scene feeling much more secure and confident in what you want in a relationship and how to get it.” may depend on who you are and the relationships you want to have. some people get married in a fall-spring relationship.

i agree with zaku in that “age is just often coincidental to maturity”.
