You seriously ask this question here?

You’ve got to be kidding.

As a former fairly long term AB’er, I have to say that after all that went on there and how we were treated when we decided to look elsewhere… Fluther is preferable.

I think Answerbag is better.
That’s why I’m here on Fluther.

Honestly, what kind of answer do you expect? You don’t go to New York and ask what they think of the Chargers.

If Fluther wasn’t better, they wouldn’t be here.

I never even bothered to try another site. Fluther was the first for me and I looked no further!

Therefore, I am sure it is the best!

Fluther’s layout is cleaner, it’s people are smarter and I like jellyfish. I’m good here.

I just need to see my friend @rooeytoo and I’m cool. Tell me if you switch to another site, k?

Well, I was on Answerbag for over three years, and, I’ll, admit, I prefer it. But for some reason when i try to log on there now ever since the new layout was put on, it says I have an invalid e-mail or password, so I’m here. And I like it here.

Screw that….answer this one: Twitter or Shitter?

WTF? If I didn’t find Fluther superior, I wouldn’t be here. Your question is like going to Fenway Park looking for Yankees fans.

All of these other sites have questions with factual answers, not long and funny discussions. That’s why I love Fluther.

@phoenyx That is why Fluther is the best

The real question is: Edward or Jacob?

syz's avatar

No, no, Sam or Bill?

mangeons's avatar

Wow. Did you seriously just ask that question?

I prefer fluther.

This isn’t to say that Answerbag was all bad.

There was an immediacy to interactions with the comment threads that I thought was unique and led to a sense of real time conversation with many people on many topics.

When they reworked the site and eliminated this immediacy the downside to AB outweighed the good. So I left.

To get a feel for the downside skip over there and take a look at the remaining users verbally bashing people who were their “very good” friends for leaving AB. I’ve seen male dogs less dedicated to “marking” their territory.

@Zen_Again – Now that is not only a QA, I think it is borderline fantastic!!! (heheheh)

What are you people talking about!!!!

Daloon.com is the best!!!

Did you ask this same question on those other sites? What was their consensus.

You need to veil your questions much better. This is just too obvious.

I suppose it depends on what you’re looking for. Fluther and AB are really different.

In fact, it’s not to be mean or criticizing or nothing, but I don’t actually understand why the AB people all moved to Fluther, both places are quite different. (I did too obviously, not bashing anything.)

AB is bigger, and so it’s faster and more active, but you will always get your share of bullshit and drama, such as Conservatives VS Liberals and Atheists VS Christians. There are a lot of smart people there, but also has its fair share of ass. Still, it’s better for time wasting.

Fluther is a little more serious, and even being a smartass or writing something witty is a project. Which isn’t bad, I mean it’s nice to know I can learn something, but it doesn’t encompass the general reason why people come online after work, for example. i mean sometimes I don’t feel like being serious, and this really isn’t the place to tell everyone that I’m actually Batman.

Blurtit is similar to AB, but it’s more about technical stuff. You can’t really debate evolution or piss of fence sides. It’s also pretty ghost town as far as I see.

So Fluther is good for some, and not others. You have to take all the factors which define each, for the majority, and see what you enjoy.

The interaction is much different too, Fluther seemingly aiming more for a hands on approach rather than the AB scheme, if only because, well looking at it personally anyways, this place works more like a traditional forum.
