Did you enjoy the film Avatar ? spolier alert?

Asked by airowDee (1791points) December 21st, 2009

Lets talk about it. I really enjoyed it, not because of the 3 D effects , but i am very in love with the story telling and the plot.

Its about love, and about the evil and goodness of humanity. Some might think that its very stereotypical and too full of liberal cliche, i can`t disagree with that, but at the same time, it still strikes a very powerful e motional chord. I am in love with it.

I loved it, at times I felt like I was in Pandora too.. It’s a beautiful movie.

I loved it. I could really feel the money in the amount of details that they included. What I didn’t like was

-The sound design. Salvation was much better but he didnt really direct it. He just wrote it.
-Trying to focus on the background. I saw it in 3D and it was near impossible to focus on the background because of it.
-The amount of detail. There was too much of it and it sort of explained something then just skipped along to the next thing. Although it was one of those movies where you’re supposed to go onto Youtube and look at all the extra bits.

Still, it was worth the 3 extra dollars to see it in 3D.

You can definitely tell this movie wasn’t made on a shoe-string budget. It had all the eye candy you could ever want, but the plot seemed too generic. It joins most of the other action movies with the obvious ‘Enemy v.s. Perfectly Good People” plot.
And really? Unobtamium? They spent hundreds of millions on the film and that is the best mineral name you can come up with?

@VohuManah I thought that was hilarious.

I thought it was fantastic. Just saw it in 3d. I really really enjoyed it. Ok the name of the mineral was stupid. But everything else was amazing. I loved the visuals and the CG was incredible. They looked real to me. I liked the story too despite what some people think.

I liked it. @LeotCol The name of the mineral was great, as it was excellent lampshading of the whole ‘expensive minerals are rare and magical!’ trope.
