What should I buy with $225?

Asked by cjunifer (30points) December 24th, 2009

So I have $225 to spend on whatever I want. I know this is difficult to answer without knowing me, but I think being intentionally vague will produce interesting results. Some of my interests include: music, skateboarding, philosophy, comedy, and technology. What do you suggest?

I’d want to get a cool iPod, or maybe a cool phone…something like that :)
But my parents would make me save it for college. :(

Save it. It might come in handy later.

First, buy you a $100 gas card. second, if you are old enough, head to a casino and test your luck with $100 dollars only. save the $20 dollars for food and the $5 dollars for a pack of cigarettes. it may not be the best answer here, but it is an answer.

You could get you an iPhone. Those are pretty cool and you can keep up with your favorite websites while away from the computer.

A external hard drive for your computer. You can get a external 1TB drive for under a hundred dollars.

It is nice knowing that all your music, movies, and pictures are safe. I can even boot from mine.

Find your local bank that is offering a cash deposit for opening a new account, deposit the required amount (usually $100) and follow the requirements to receive a free $100 or so. Our bank requirements are “direct deposit or pay 10 bills online.

Husband, son, and I have all opened new accounts and received free deposits of $100 – $75 cash into our accounts. It’s entirely free money.

@johnpowell a 1 TB external HD for under $100? I knew I should have waited, I paid $50 for a 500 GB HD last year.

Imagine how many homeless people it would feed, or how many poor kids it would buy presents for.
