to myself, chocolate tastes like the purest of sweet. with a dash of hmmm…desire? haha

Dark chocolate, when done right, is a perfect mix of bitter and sweet, with slightly earthy tones, and a dash of deliciousness.

oh sure dark chocolate yes, but i instantly thought milk chocolate, which has the sweetest melt known to man.

Dark chocolate tastes like poop wrapped in more poop.
Milk chocolate tastes like poop with some milk added to it.

Chocolate/cocoa is kind of a base flavor; there isn’t much comparing it to other flavors.

Dark chocolate tastes like a bitter version of milk chocolate. Very dark chocolate tastes like iron. It’s like licking a sign pole. And the taste is stuck in your mouth for a long time afterward. Dark chocolate is the most overrated form of candy, in my opinion.

Milk chocolate is awesome. It’s kind of a rich, sweet flavor. I don’t ever want too much of it, though. Chocolate is good in moderation.

White chocolate doesn’t taste much like the other two. It has the same texture, but the taste is vastly different. It just tastes very, very sweet and for that reason, a lot of people find it sickeningly sweet. I don’t however, I love white chocolate. :)

@DominicX I’m going to have to respectfully disagree with you about dark chocolate. Next to dark roasted coffee, it’s the most amazingly delicious treat on the planet. I just had several one or two dark chocolate malt balls and can still taste them. I’m putting off brushing my teeth for bed because I can still taste them. Mmm mm mmmmm mmmm!!

The only thing I like better is my first sip of french roast in the morning.

And while I’ve never tasted poop, I’ve smelled it often enough (three kids) to be absolutely certain it would taste nothing like high quality, heavenly dark chocolate.
