Mostly it’s pleasant, witty and slightly tangy like a good mustard. Occasionally it’s frustrating, petty and crude.

Much like the internet.

Omphaloskeptic.

Much like a trip to a Hedonism Resort.

or what @gemiwing said

What was that saying from the old Spy magazine?

Oh, yeah:

Ooof! but in a good way!

@pdworkin

I’ll see your omphaloskeptic and raise you solipsistic.

It’s like some rare imported strong beer from the darkest corners of Europe; not everyone likes it, but those who do, like it a lot, and for good reason.

I hope this isn’t supposed to be a one-word thing, because I find that quite impossible to do. The feeling and atmosphere I get on here is a close-knit community that helps, rejoices, and grieves through this roller coaster thing we call life.

@absalom i’ll see your solipisistic and raise you Hegelianism
What satisfying sounding words these are.

Grammatical.

absalom's avatar

Pseudo-grammatical.

I like it, it’s comfortable. It’s not a love fest like some of the other sites I’ve visited with mass orgies of mutual masturbation, not too uptight with chastity belts wrapped tightly around the content, it’s relaxed.

Intelligent, irreverent, occasionally malevolent, turbulent and/or prurient…..

Juicy peach.

At times, prickly pear.

Pompous, sarcastic, and elitist at times, but that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy it here.

Oh, you’re asking about tone!

Wait a tick…

G maj7 on this.

I would say that the preference is for QUALITY rather than QUANTITY.

I guess you haven’t been getting out much, lately. What’s the size of your question queue?

Pandora's avatar

A little controlling on the questions but it beats having to riffle threw the same questions being asked 100 different times. Like whats your view on a 40 year old man date a 15 year old girl. God, I was going to go insane if I read that question one more time on AB.

Very restrictive. watchdogs are everywhere. the moderators wear plates of armor and monitor your every move. is this a good thing? i think so. they keep the trash in the trash can, where it belongs.

warribbons's avatar

lovable, like a warm hug ON MY DICK

AstroChuck's avatar

I’d say an E-flat.

ninjacolin's avatar

a little tame but with a dash of fancy.

@Daloon

:D

ucme's avatar

Diverse, warm with an ocassional chill, entertaining, often outrageously elitist & conceited. Above all though i’d have to say a fun receptive exclusive little place.

Like toasted cheese with sriracha.
