What's with the colour status thing on female Facebook profiles?
There is something going on on Facebook that only the girls are into, they are all posting their status as a colour and it’s some big girly secret.
C’mon ladies, help a brother out, what’s it all about?

You’re not missing out on much, @RareDenver. I feel like I’d be a traitor to my kind if I told you though. and I am amazed at how fast emails travel on facebook.

So I know I’m a total kill joy, but let’s hypothetically say that @sarcasm’s link is correct. How does it in any way promote breast cancer awareness if half the world’s population doesn’t get to know what we’re talking about?

Or they can be utilized during sex. It could be sex awareness.
It’s not like the status updates are saying anything about breast cancer. The dangers of it, how common it is, how to help out those who suffer from it.
It’s okay to have a fun little facebook inside-joke game. Just don’t pretend it’s more than a fun little facebook inside-joke game, though.
@Sarcasm If you were a girl, you might have gotten the e-mail that said something about breast cancer awareness. Since you aren’t, you just don’t get it. Is it so hard to accept that you don’t know everything about it?
@Sarcasm Okay, this has gone too far. This has NOTHING to do with sexual awareness or breast cancer. Why are you reading more into this than is there? This was done FOR FUN. It was an inside joke that was spread amongst a bunch of us gals, & we’ve had fun with it. I resent that you’re taking this ball & running with it when you know nothing about what’s going on.

I hope @Sarcasm doesn’t mind me defending him for a second, but @Lightlyseared‘s reply said it was for breast cancer awareness so he’s not pulling that out of nowhere. Also, 3 of the 4 facebook emails I got today about this said it was for breast cancer awareness.
@jbfletcherfan I got a message from one or two of my contacts about breast cancer awareness. Sorry you didn’t get that one. But then again, I’ve received about 6 of them from different people.
The PM I got for this said nothing about breast cancer awareness. I thought it was just for fun.

I never got an email about it on facebook and Im a female!!! I agree that it is kinda dumb. How is it raising awareness to breast cancer when all they do is post a color and more than half of us, male and female dont have a clue what they are talking about?? I put my bra color as a staus but I also put WHY!!! Duh!!!

Facebook doesn’t know who started it going but the Susan B Kolman foundation says it was a great way to raise awareness for breast cancer. Way t…o go! @purplehaze So what’s your take on the argument that it does very little to promote BC awareness when men – about ½ the world’s population—aren’t supposed to know about it?
