If English is not your first language and you are new here, could you let the collective know?

I am having real difficulty in understanding some of the niagara of recent questions and am getting very frustrated.

I am not new but English isn’t my first language.

@john: I should have added,“What is your first language?” So, what is yours?

Well, it seems that no new users are answering this question so one can only assume that its the nature of the audience that regularly visits the Apple website on their iPhones. sigh

Ok apparently my mom tried to teach me to speak her native language when I was born but it didn’t really work out and I never really learnt to speak her language. So I ended up being in fluent in English only. Does that make English my second-language ?

As for the annoyance of “of the niagara of recent questions”, I would not worry much about them. My guess is in a week or so the site will be back to normal. Some of the new users will stay but the majority will leave. Remember how after the Digg incident, Fluther was flooded with questions for a week or so and then it went back to normal

We’re also thinking about moving up some of the community-scaling features we’ve been incubating… more on that in a blog post to come.

English is not my first language – I spoke French first.
