How do I contact Ron Conway?

Asked by johanna (895points) January 13th, 2010

I have an IT start up and I have funding in the pipeline but I would really like to have Mr. Conway in on the deal. I’m European and recently moved to SF and do not know that many people here yet. I have previosuly had companies funded by VCs, I have start up experience and I am not a complete nutter….
Can somebody please tell me how to reach Mr. Conway and how I get to pitch him, send him an executive summary or get him to check out my company website?

It took about a minute to find an address for Baseline Ventures. If your IT startup can’t handle that much, why should he or anyone give you money?

Gee thanks genius, Have you ever just sent a cold email? They never answer. I am not talking about Baseline, I am talking about the guy personally.

Besides VCs do not give anyone money. They buy shares in a company…

Well, you asked how to contact him. You didn’t ask how to ensure he’ll invest in your company. @frdelrosario answered your question. The rest is up to you.

Good luck.

@nikipedia Well if you look further and actually read Baseline ventures website there is no information what so ever re: contacting Mr. Conway, So no, my question has not been answered. But thanks for trying.

Who is leading your round? That’s a good way to get introduced to the angels/VC’s you’re interested in—and how we were introduced to Baseline.

@andrew thank you. A small European VC is leading and, unfortunately, they are not any better connected here than I am. And since our market is here in the US we would love to have someone well connected as a base for further funding down the road. And who is better connected than Mr. Conway?
