How good are these shoes?

Asked by mollypop51797 (1430points) January 17th, 2010

Tory Burch Reva ballerina flats. Ahhhh brings me anxiety at night. If any of you remember me, I asked something about them before. Now I’m just asking about a review. If I’m going to pay for shoes at this price, I want to know a little bit more about them. Are they durable? Do they break easily? For people who are hard on their shoes, will it last? Is it worth it? do they scuff easily? Are they good quality? Yes, they match with everything, or most things. Do they meet up to your expectations?

According to this one reviewer, she finds that they last “several months.” I personally don’t consider that to be very long. I buy Birkinstocks for about $100 and generally get at least a year’s wear out of them.

This reviewer got very little wear out of her Tory Burch Reva flats.

However, this reviewer absolutely loves them.

And this reviewer likes them and thinks they are sturdy but doesn’t love the way the heel fits.

From what I can see, the shoes are very comfortable, come in lots and lots of colors, and are pricey. However, it would seem that durability is not their strong suit. I must admit that I do not have any of these shoes. My daughter likes this sort of shoe, but I notice that they aren’t really very sturdy.

I suspect that these shoes are terrific for folks who routinely shop at places like Nordstrom, but are readily replaced by other brands of flats found at Marshall’s, Dress for Less, or Kohl’s. If you do buy them for your daughter, don’t expect them to last terribly long.

Thanks. Same with my daughters, they like the shoes but I’m not a big fan of them since they may not be as durable and long lasting as I expect for this price. But hey, if they are able to last a reasonable amount of time, then maybe it’s worth it.
