What the hell is your deal with shoulder pads?

I was in my teens during the 1980s. I’ve seen more ridiculous shoulderpads than I could possibly count.

Any of them that I have ever tried on. I have strong shoulders so I end up looking like a linebacker- in sequins.

I’d like to see a bikini with shoulderpads in it!

Halloween a few years back, The Wife and I made outfits for a party. mine was a suit with added padding on the legs, butt, chest and shoulders. Her outfit was short- shorts with padding in the butt, a Big size Bra with padding and an Extra Large Crop Top with padding in the shoulders and we both had Spiked Hair!

Ok- my answer is Shoulder Pads in a Crop Top…

I once saw a woman wearing a plunging vneck and it had shoulder pads so large I was waiting for an owl to land one.

@jmah I disagree – besides there are lots of things on this site that aren’t funny, but that never stopped anybody.

The most innovative use of shoulder pads is using them to stuff a bra. And to apply silver silver. But not at the same time…

Looking at your avatar, I have to ask – does the straight jacket have shoulder pads? If yes, that would be the strangest. I am self-admitted clueless about fashion, but I like shoulder pads and I have them in most of my clothes, including my favorite dressy sweatshirt, and the swimsuit cover I wear over my suit, similar to this one and both my sequined dress jackets.
