If not please suggest where you would go in Florida and why you’d go there.

Sarasota is one of my favorite places. It is a wonderful city. The beaches around there are wonderful.

Jobs are hard to come by.

I agree with @Marina. Frankly, if I were going to live in Florida Sarasota or Jacksonville are the only two places i would consider and Sarasota has great beaches. As for safety, I have no idea.

Haha I’m not too concerned about the old people. It does look like a beautiful city…as far as jobs go I have a phone interview tomorrow. Wish me luck! Thank you for all your responses :) I feel more secure about my decision!

Sarasota is a wonderful place and I would think it would be grand to live there. I prefer the Tampa/St.Pete area just because I like a bit bigger city. That said, Sarasota is less than an hour from Tampa so you can have some of the benefits of a bigger city just a short distance away. Plus, if you are a baseball fan, spring training places are all over in that area and you will meet and see a ton of ball players and coaches all over town.
