Internet Sharing from Mac OS X to Windows XP via Wi-Fi only works unencrypted?

Trying to setup internet sharing from a Mac to a PC.

Works fine if I don’t setup encryption, but if I do, either 40 or 128 bits, it simply fails to connect from the Windows machine.

Do you have any pointers? Thanks in advance!

What kind of encryption are you using? Are you sure the Windows machine supports that type of encryption? If it’s WEP then you may as well not bother encrypting it in the first place.

Not encrypting because open is the only thing that works, connects. Yeah WEP is very crackable. But not as open as unprotected anyway..
