I would assume, since a pacemaker only regulates heartbeat, that the pacemaker itself would not change the absorption of alcohol into the body.

A small amount of alcohol, even every day, should not be a problem and could even be considered to be beneficial, as it dilates blood vessels thereby reducing the amount of work the heart has to do.

If you have a pacemaker you are probably taking medication as well and should not drink alcohol. If you feel the need, please ask your doctor.

Florence you are right. Many paced patients are on blood thinning medications and alcohol impacts the viscosity of human blood. So if you are a paced patient and on blood thinners I would highly advise consulting with your cardiologist before intaking alcohol. The amount if any alcohol that you may or may not be able to have will most likely be dependent upon the dosage of medication you are on… Again the cardiologist would be the best to advise a paced individual on alcohol consumption.

If you are not on medication there’s no reason not to consume alcohol in moderation.
