How about you wait til Wednesday, since it’s less than 48hrs away, and just find out the facts? If you’ve gone this long without an iPhone, you can wait two more days, right?

The tablet device is supposed to be the biggest news. I’m really excited myself. Apple has been killing it with user interface and total user experience at least since the first iPod, and if they get this device between a phone and a laptop right, it could really change the way we interact with computers. I’m already thinking that very soon I won’t need a laptop computer anymore.

I really don’t see what’s wrong with speculation about a new product before it comes out, though I do see the issue with the way some of the tech sites have been writing about it. It seems to me that this is exactly what Apple wants from a marketing perspective, or else the rumors likely would not have started (they are awfully good at keeping things quiet, even if a few Chinese factory workers have to “commit suicide”). It could backfire though if the product doesn’t live up to the hype, and this thing is going to have to be really good to live up to the hype.
