If you had to describe yourself in an one-minute performance, how would you?

Asked by Haroot (2123points) January 27th, 2010

An interesting exercise we preformed in a theater class I’m attending. One fellow realized he has eaten rice every day of his life, so he ate rice for a minute. Another gave a line from every year of her life.

So how would you preform/describe your life in a minute? Not as easy as it sounds, trust me.

I’d probably sit in a chair quietly for the whole minute, looking around and thinking. If I could manage to squeeze out a tear at around the 40 second mark. that’d be good.

I AM SO EMO.

You will like my cooking, I have been on many a life adventure and treat each day as if it is my last. I have caught up with that shiny puddle on the highway…I will make you laugh and smile every day you know me and you better make me laugh and smile or this minute will be all you ever know of me. I look up not down and I don’t waste time with regrets as life it too short to waste time regretting anything.

I’d sing this – It was a very good year just like that – only speeded up so it’s fits into a minute.!

Well, I’m happy as long as my girlfriend doesn’t describe me as a one minute performance…

I would use a real camera as a prop and mime that I’m taking pictures and as I did a screen behind me would display a slideshow of some of the most meaningful pictures I have taken during my life so far.

I am a busy person, so I would do some cooking, go outside to tend my garden, then sit pondering at how contented I am with my life, family and friends… oh and fellow flutterers!!

@Cruiser What a lovely answer. Are you ALWAYS an optimist? What is your secret?

Cruiser's avatar

@partyparty Yes, to look at life any other way would be unthinkable to me. My mom taught me this early on in my life to smile no matter what as it will help to erase away anything bothering you faster and it works!!

I would line up the four most important people in my life and say that everything I’ve done has led up to being surrounded by these beings. Then I’d have a globe off my other side and say that everything I hope to do will have an impact on it.

I’d spin repeatedly in a circle clockwise, and then counterclockwise, bumping into things for about 30 seconds. Then I’d stop, take a moment to collect my bearings, and do the first kata I learned in the last year, kata empigo.

About 30 seconds with my nose in a book, 20 seconds of blowing up or otherwise destroying things, 5 seconds of loving ecstacy, the last 5 seconds curled up in a fetal position blocking out the world.

I would hold my Teddy bear, and be wrapped up in my favorite blanket. To show that I always have love for others, and a hug is a warm embrace that I love. And I won’t look back because the past is the past, and I look forward to the future.
