Would you like to see who gave you lurve?

Asked by kheredia (5566points) January 28th, 2010

When you get a great answer or a great question… would you like to be able to see who gave it to you or do you like that it is unanimous? I sometimes wonder who gave me lurve and I think it would be nice to see who likes my answers or questions.

What do you think about this? Would you like to see who gave you lurve or do you think its better not to know?

I think if everyone could see who gave lurve it would taint the giving of pure lurve.

One might feel obligated to reciprocate even if a response was not worthy.

For the most part no, but sometimes I am a bit curious.

I think you mean anonymous, not unanimous.

@jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities lol!! yeah, sorry… I knew something wasn’t right about that word.

A lot of the time you pretty much know anyway, especially when someone says something like GA @jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities.

Interesting side note: As a mod, I can see. It was actually a little disconcerting at first, ‘til I kind of trained myself not to pay attention to it. I really don’t think you’d like it as much as you think you would.

I like not knowing. It keeps the lurve coming from the collective instead of an individual.
at least in my mind it does.

I agree with @Dog

@augustlan Hmm it makes me wonder, what else can you see as a moderator?

@Dog Hehe…thanks for noticing.~ * looks around for hidden camera *

No. I do not believe any gain from it would be worth what it cost us, which is unself-conscious sincerity.

Nah, I like it anonymous. :)
