I enjoyed Little Miss Sunshine, Goodwill Hunting, Big Chill, Old School, Donnie Darko, if that helps show my tastes.

Old episodes of Prime Suspect, and then the latest and last Prime Suspect on PBS, all of which star Hellen Mirren. For an interesting perspective on time and politics: 2001 A Space Odyssey and Dr. Strangelove.

It's not strictly a movie... but check out the American version of The Office (the HBO show), seasons 1, 2, and 3. It's absolutely hilarious and actually has a real story as well.

Thank You for Smoking. I haven't laughed so hard at a movie since 40-Year Old Virgin.

I agree with you and think that Donnie Darko was one of the best movies, if you have not seen it, you need to.

Yes, Thank you for smoking is good too AND if you like Old School I think you’ll like “Good Luck Chuck” or “I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry”.
