Why was the show Life from NBC discontinued?

Asked by phoebusg (5251points) February 6th, 2010

One of my favorite shows, Life. If you haven’t watched it, I definitely recommend it. Just think of “Zen, cop”. Anyway, show was on the air only for two seasons, huge fan base. Network plucks it off…. why? Just a question stuck in my head from a while back. Helps to type it out! Thanks.

And while we’re at why wasn’t Terminator The Sarah Connor Chronicles picked up for a third season? And which idiot canceled FirefLy?

Oh geez, firefly was great. The terminator show, it was ok, some great episodes – lots of fillers. But it certainly felt good to keep the story going. It’s a good story.

I wonder what the fatcat managers are thinking up there, because if it’s viewers they’re looking for—- never-mind :P

to make room for Leno, no doubt.

NBC and FOX executives are not entirely human and have durians substituting for cognitive thought. When they aren’t watching the life cycle of grass or staring at a Twinkie, they put random shows into a hat and pick ones to cancel, ‘for fun.’

I had not heard of it but watched it on Hulu. It is a great series. I’m surprised it was canceled after two seasons.
