Have you ever used Chinese Tires on your car or truck?

Asked by babaji (1448points) February 7th, 2010

For the first time, i’ve put Chinese tires on my truck, are they any good? It was all i could afford with four tires, they were the cheapest by far, but only 40,000 mile warranty.

Yes, and 30 minutes later I needed some more.

I’m just kidding.

To my knowledge I haven’t ever had Chinese tires. I see there is a bit of a dust up about their safety if you Google the term Chinese tires.

Since 85% of everything sold at WalMart comes from China, don’t you just know this is a speciality item for them? i have never used tires made in China. i would not use anything with writing in Chinese, that i do not understand. they could be telling me that these tires are factory seconds or blemished tires and i would never know it. no tires made in China for me.

I have just bought my first set of tires made in Japan. so far, so good. the dealer practically had to hold a gun to my head for me to okay their purchase. at least, i understood the the label on the tires. it was in good ol’ English.

@Merriment -Just tie your hair back first so as to avoid the bald spots that can appear after reading so close ;)

I watch anything that comes from China. As long as your aware that they may blow up or fall off in a short amount of time. As long your OK with that, then why not. I just don’t have much luck with anything I buy from that region.

No. I avoid China-made anything if I can help it.
