Can you highlight/add comments to documents in Adobe Reader?

Asked by dreamdh715 (29points) February 7th, 2010

I am reading a lot of online material for class this semester, and I hate wasting paper printing them out. Reading on the screen is difficult though, because I like to highlight and make comments alongside the text as I’m reading it. Is there any way Adobe Reader lets you do that kind of stuff? If yes, how? If not, do you know of any other program that views pdf’s and allows highlighting and/or comments?

You need Acrobat Pro to do this. I don’t know of any free programs that do this, but maybe someone else does.

Foxit Reader for Windows is a popular Adobe Reader replacement, and among its advantages are highlighting & annotating

“Foxit Reader allows you to draw graphics, highlight text, type text and make notes on a PDF document and then print out or save the annotated document.”
