How long does it usually take a employer to get back to you about an application?

I put in a job application a day or so ago. how long does it normally take for them to call you? I’m concerned because Ive been working for my dad under the table sense I was 16 and I am now 23 so basically as far as they know i have been jobless sense high school cept for a few part timers.
